This is where I proposed to my wife, so this photo has some special significance to me. I hope you like it too.

I like it, but don't know enough about photographic composition to say whether it's "good" or not; probably being influenced by the subject matter and my love of old structures slowly being reclaimed by nature.

I'm kinna curious about the prior "special significance" of the location itself that led you to propose there. My twisted, "thwarted playwright" imagination slips into overdrive...

He (on one knee): Will you marry me?
She (in aside): If I say no, is he going to hide my body out here? Would explain that shovel....

Obviously I haven't read all of your blog; how long have the two of you been married?

We've been married since December 17, so not too long. I proposed two years and two months earlier. The significance of the place is mostly in its beauty and seclusion, but it's also a place where she went as a kid to play with her friend.

Whoa, newbieweds!

(Of course, as you may remember, I object to marriage as a civil institution...and don't let me commencer on the religious stuff! All of that aside, congratulations!)

Good childhood memories overlaid with adult significance...Cool!
