Beautiful! Made me think of Ireland, funny enough.
I don't think it's all that funny. I haven't been there, but I have read Green Shadows, White Whale by Ray Bradbury, and from his descriptions this looks exactly like Ireland, with all the fog. Except maybe the fences might be stone rather than posts with barbed wire.
Thanks!
When I grow up, I wanna take pics like you. Oh my goodness, this one is beautiful!
Thanks Gina! Flickr users have suggested that I crop this one down, and I think they're right, so right now I'm trying to re-publish this to show the new version, but Blogger is acting up. But this goes to show that I still have a lot to learn to really look at my photos and criticize them myself before I post them.
No photographer is ever above the help of others.
Well, you know that I'm no authority, but if you do crop it, crop it from the left. Don't cut out the house on the right. It's an awesome detail that is reflective; I just noticed it the second time I looked at this pic. That house has an "every time I look at this pic, I see something new" kind of thing about it. Know what I mean? So does that near ghost of a bush on the left. So, which way were you going to crop it? I'm thinking if you do, maybe to cut the height of it to make the layer of colors be the same.
Like I said, what do I know. Another pic on the blog for you to tell me about. You've seen it, but I do appreciate your input.
I've already posted the new version. As you can see, I cut out a bunch of the empty sky. I thought about doing that earlier, but after about 6 out of 10 people that commented about it suggested that crop, I figured it was good to go with the advice.
