I tried a somewhat different approach with this scanograph, and I'm not too sure I like the results. But that's what you get with a photoblog sometimes--the successes as well as the failed experiments (which at least will teach you something, if you look closely enough).

I stumbled onto to your blog while researching photo stuff. You do some great work, I am going to read your 'Open ended course in Phototography' over the next few days. I am only begining to learn how to use my camera, so I have little add to your discussions! Yet :)
