My wife and I went to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha yesterday. My camera is definitely ill-equipped to be taking pictures of wildlife (or is it just me?) but of the 178 shots I took, at least a few of them turned out okay. This is one of them. I took this in the Lied Jungle, a huge rainforest building that first opened in 1992. The Henry Doorly Zoo, by the way, is purported to be the second best in the nation, after the San Francisco Zoo. I remember as a wee lad being disappointed by the Memphis Zoo because the one I was used to is just so good.

Wildlife photography definately needs a long zoom I find - but none the less you've captured some gorgeous colours on the birds Kelly :)
Thanks, Jem!
